The Inseparable

Music: Never Find by John Cure

Dancer and Choreographer: Mickey

2

 Finding the Love Above

A Capella

Dancer and Choreographer: Grace Altidor

The story behind my solo is a girl who looks for love and affirmation in everyone and yet still gets pushed away. She first reacts with anger coming back mean and hard. But ,when the mask is peeled back you see her as she is.

Disputation

Music: All Dreams by Gabriel Albuquerque

Dancer and Choreographer: Audrey Greer

My solo piece is about being unstoppable. Ive had to deal with being knocked down a lot this semester so in this piece I always rise from falling and keep thriving.

4

Purge

Music: Dance for Me Wallis by Abel Korzeniowsvki

Dancer and Choreographer: Ben Afferton

My solo is about the purging of negative energy while embracing the positive energy that surrounds you. There is knowledge that sometimes you cannot get everything, but you always have to try.

5

Atlas

Music: Go DJ by Kaytranada

Dancer and Choreographer: Sarah Hutchison

My solo is about holding up the weight of the world. It's about feeling crushed, struggling to hold yourself up, then letting go and releasing the tension that was stressing you. The movements literally tell a story similar to that of Atlas with the world on his back, but the true meaning is the struggle of pressure and stress.

Changes

Heartbreak

Macy Wallace

My story is about heartbreak.  I am fighting my love for a toxic person while trying to heal. but i can’t help but turn back and reach out to what my heart is longing for. It’s a battle between my heart and mind. my heart is saying yes, while my mind says no.

 Remote / On Video

"Awakening"

My solo is about awakening -- the experience of rediscovering lightness, as shown from its bound movements to free flow.

ENSEMBLES

 I

  The Cycle

Yoonsub Kim, Macy Wallace, Ziqian Wang, Leqi Ying

Music: Wait M83 (3:min.)

Our ensemble is about the struggle of getting through life together with support from others and independence. Dealing with the ups and downs of life like a roller coaster.

II

Continental Drift

Dancers: Ethan, Audrey, Joy, Yifei

Music: Fantasy & World Music by the Fiechters

Our story begins when the world was merely a sphere of water, with only Pangea floating among its great ocean. As the story begins, the tectonic plates proceed to push the land masses apart, creating diverse continents, terrains, and biomes around the planet. As the dance progresses, the continents find their role in our atmosphere, finding balance, completing food chains, and bearing live organisms across their lands. This results in a healthy global environment full of colorful culture and various ways of life. Our story concludes as all the continents find their way to operate as one unit, using unity and trust to bring peace.

III

 “Starting Anew”

Music: Lilo & Stitch

Dancers: Molly, Jada, Sarah, Ophelia, Michael

Our group ensemble is about redemption and we are five people who have been separated coming back together.

IV

Whimsical Malice

Music: Holst - The Planets: Mvmt 7. Neptune

Dancers: Ben, Nick, Emma, Yiquan

Our story is that the three of us are fairies, while Nick is a pixie. We are expressing our carefreeness, and lightness--but these are not the only emotions fairies have--in the midst of the light positivity there is a betrayal. Our dance shows the yin and the yang,

V

Blossoming Friends

Music: Wildest Dreams (instrumental)

Artist: Duomo

Dancers: Caitlyn, Idara, Abby, and Christine

It's a story of friendship where we start out uncomfortable and shy. There is a lot of push and pull since we don't know each other. Throughout the dance and at the end, we begin to grow in harmony and become best friends.

VI

 Frienemies

Janice, Grace, Christine, Mickey

Music: Lose to Love me by Celine Gomez

Friends who become enemies once a bond is broken. They both attempt to hurt each other but once they do they resolve the issue and send love and flow between the two!

 VII
Ethan, Celeste, Sarah F.B.

Music: Clair the Lune by Debussy

Our dance tells the story of relationships. The first section describes the ups and downs of a friendship, ending in them making up. The second section tells the story of a couple. The final section tells the story of family dynamics.
